Craig Green x Björn Borg Collection

The award winning British designer Craig Green and Swedish trailblazing sportswear brand Bjørn Borg comes together for a special gender-fluid capsule collection, incorporating light, shadow and a minimal colour palette.

“The Craig Green x Björn Borg Collection marries my conceptual fascination with light and shadow, with the utilitarian beauty of Björn Borg’s heritage. The idea is to have a multifunctional garment for both men and women that is not really gender-specific. Functional components become a distinct design feature, and a bold logo is replaced by a single circle — a development of the whole motif I often explore”, said Craig Green.

Who’s Craig? Craig Green has quickly become one of Englands brightest new talents exploring boundary-pushing showmanship and utility influenced ready-to-wear. Craig graduated 4 years ago, but has already been nominated for the LVMH Fashion Prize twice.

The collection appears sporty, but still true to the Craig Green aesthetic. Craig’s pristine eye for detail is captured in the collection with his use of quilts and drawstrings. Bjørn Borg is a household name to Norwegians and Scandinavians in general. The collection also remains faithful to Bjørn Borg’s sporty and functional everyday wear — a true marriage of two very different companies.

Black and off-white are the two strong colours in the collection. Craig Green is known for his use of minimalistic colour palettes, but makes up for it in the design process of choosing tactile fabrics and surfaces.

The collection will launch globally in October and YME Universe is proud to be the only store representing the Craig Green x Bjørn Borg collaboration in Norway.
