Holiday season is just around the corner and while some of us are franticly trying to plan trips to the cabin, Christmas parties and gifts we find ourselves dressing up way more frequently than we normally would. Here are some of our favourite dresses for the forthcoming festive season.
The stress of holiday season can be exhausting, and the endless list of parties and gatherings means we need more outfits, more shoes and more accessories. Many women choose the LBD (little black dress) religiously, but this season the runway and YME both suggest breaking some barriers, try colour, bold ones much like the dress below from House of Dagmar in pink lurex. Paired with black tights, a Sonia Rykiel purse and razor sharp stilettos Phillip Lim.
Not all party dresses are made to be worn with heels, we want to wear our favourite sneakers or boots and still be able to feel festive and dressed up. The dress above is a layered Julie Josephine shirt and MSGM dress mixed with knee-high socks, Raf Simons Adidas sneakers and a Sonia Rykiel bag.
Floor-length dresses isn’t just for sundresses and evening gowns, there are so many contemporary options on the market that are suitable for the holiday season in bold fabrics much like this floral dress from Ganni, perfectly matched with a bag from Marni.
Like we said earlier the LBD is a safe bet, but of course we want to vamp it up a bit for the holiday season, like this light reflecting lurex dress with a modern ruffle from FWSS, paired with knee-high J.W Anderson boots and a Boyy bag – a look that is guaranteed to turn heads.
